Profile Description

This role is accountable for leading a sales team and driving the sales of BSRM products in respective area by ensuring wire rod sales generation and achievement of target, along with the delivery and outstanding collection complying with BSRM’s sales policy.

Educational Qualification

B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering/Materials and Metallurgical Engineering  from a reputed public or private university.

Experience

10 years of relevant functional and people management experience, preferably in manufacturing industry.

Functional Activities

  1. Responsible for achievement of sales volume within the respective area.
  2. Perform wire rod factory visits to assess client needs, demonstrate product suitability and address technical queries.  
  3. Provide technical guidance to clients on the application of wire rod products for nails, GI wires, MS wires, nuts, bolts, shutter locks and other uses.
  4. Cascade the territory sales plan and guide territory sales team to achieve targets.
  5. Provide support in sales planning and forecasting within the defined scope.
  6. Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the market for wire rod products.
  7. Ensure and monitor the balance confirmation from credit clients.
  8. Monitor timely collection of outstanding from customers, ensure support and perform timely escalations.
  9. Ensure all activities are in accordance with the sales policy, SOPs and strategy of BSRM.
  10. Support the deployment of marketing initiatives and promotional activities in the territories.
  11. Monitor market trends, competitor’s activity and customer feedback within the respective zone and highlight to the respective stakeholders.
  12. Provide MIS reports to support with data analysis, market insight & customer feedback.
  13. Monitor allocated sales budget and ensure adherence to it within the defined scope.
  14. Nurture relationships with the existing customers and develop activities to ensure repeat orders.
  15. Develop and present new sales techniques and strategies to the team.

  1. Attract and develop talent in the steel business.
  2. Direct the process of effective department performance, overseeing performance management, recruitment, training and development of staff to ensure high level of engagement and motivated work environment.
  3. Engage and mentor direct reports to prepare them for larger and higher roles with BSRM.
  4. Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. 
  5. Manage counselling and grievances of reportees.
  6. Manage attendance and leave of reportees.
  7. Ensure appropriate allocation of workload to reportees to enable work-life balance.

Coordination

  1. Collaborate with wire rod factory technicians to ensure products meet client requirements and industry standards.
  2. Coordinate with warehouse and distribution stakeholders to ensure timely order fulfillment
