Profile Description
This role is accountable for improving BSRM products to meet engineering innovations and market trend by designing new/re-designing the existing products innovations.
Educational Qualification
B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from a reputed public or private university.
MBA will be considered as an added advantage.
Experience
6-8 years of working experience in relevant functional field preferably in Steels and Allied business.
Functional Activities
a) Conduct and review research and analysis on products & services for ongoing and new product development.
b) Monitor the market situation and competitor’s actions by performing survey of respective product.
c) Visit and liaising with countries top civil engineering educators and practitioners of universities, consulting houses and Govt. authorities – PWD, LGED, RHD etc. on the latest civil engineering design and construction practices.
d) Keep track of national and international building codes and its aspects pertaining to application of BSRM product use.
e) Implement RC and steel design philosophies and approaches within BSRM by understanding and consulting EuroCodes 2, 3 and 8 and the ACI 318 and the AISC manual.
f) Oversee the BSRM products are in compliance with ISO and ASTM standards.
g) Review the Re-design of BSRM Products for the application in high end engineering projects.
h) Identify and analyze innovative use of steel products and design & prepare proposal for new product introduction.
Leadership, Talent and Culture Development
a) Direct the process of effective department performance, overseeing performance management, recruitment, training and development of staff to ensure high level of engagement and motivated work environment.
b) Engage and mentor direct reports to prepare them for larger and higher roles with BSRM.
c) Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
d) Manage counselling and grievances of reportees.
e) Manage attendance and leave of reportees.
f) Ensure appropriate allocation of workload to reportees to enable work-life balance.
Coordination
a) Coordinate with external engineering firms and agencies for information sharing on innovation.
