Profile Description
This role is responsible for managing the legal activities pertaining litigation in the designated area and dealing with all legal matters of the group to ensure achievement of BSRM’s interest.
Educational Qualification
Post-graduation/Graduation in Law from a reputed public and private university, preferably with specialization in Civil Laws. Additionally Bangladesh Bar Council Certification is the compulsory requirement.
Experience
0-3 years of working experience in relevant functional field.
Functional Activities
a) Handle out of court settlements, arbitration matters & their proceedings and represents the organization in statutory forums and regulatory agencies.
b) Communicate and Guide internal stakeholders in completing required formalities to resolve legal issues.
c) Provide Legal Advice on issues in legal, labor etc. to Head of Dhaka Corporate Affairs & Management.
d) Assists the Function - Legal in planning and implementation of the legal strategy for the corresponding verticals to safeguard BSRM's interests.
e) File Legal notice, GD, FIR and other legal matters of the company as required.
f) Prepare and timely filling cases as directed by the Management.
g) Appear in Courts on behalf of the company as and when required.
h) Follow up of cases pending with the courts and ensure BSRM’s interest to be achieved.
i) Liaison with different courts, regulatory authorities & other bodies as and when required.
j) Identify possible dispute areas and provide counsel on appropriate legal safeguards for BSRM.
k) Conduct research and keep track of the changes to relevant Laws, rules and regulations and highlight accordingly.
Leadership, Talent and Culture Development
a) Direct the process of effective department performance, overseeing performance management, recruitment, training and development of staff to ensure high level of engagement and motivated work environment.
b) Engage and mentor direct reports to prepare them for larger and higher roles with BSRM.
c) Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
d) Manage counselling and grievances of reportees.
e) Manage attendance and leave of reportees.
f) Ensure appropriate allocation of workload to reportees to enable work-life balance.
Coordination
a) Coordinate with external agencies for support in any legal issues.
b) Coordinate with concerned unit/function for required information to prepare cases.
