Senior Manager Distribution & Material Management

Profile Description

This role is accountable for managing finished goods storage and delivery, distribution personnel and logistics systems and direct daily operations.

Educational Qualification

Post-Graduation/Graduation from any reputed public/private university with diploma/certified course in supply chain management from well reputed institute.

Experience

10-15 years working experience in relevant functional and people management experience.

Functional Activities

a) Reviews distribution plan that specifies every element in the distribution process from the plants/warehouses to how and when the inventory would reach the delivery location.
b) Works closely with sales to ensure timely distribution of finished goods to customers within specified time and at optimum cost.
c) Revisits and refurbishes the policies for planning the distribution process.
d) Collaborates with sales in evaluating the warehouse stocking and distribution strategies, including how the products are to be made available and sent to different destinations (customers/dealers etc.)
e) Manages the cost of supplying finished goods.
f) Provides guidance to materials management & logistics at unit level to ensure that stores and inventory related work is carried out effectively across units.
g) Review plans for the logistical details of all the distribution routes and activities.
h) Review and approve load plans for destinations and partners.
i) Maintain finished goods inventory in all warehouses as per the replenishment policy.
j) Monitor timely dispatch of finished products to all warehouse.
k) Monitor availability of adequate manpower required for warehouses.
l) Monitor proper utilization of hired vehicles and maintain record of all warehouses.
m) Monitor to accomplish preventive/predictive maintenance as per plan.
n) Monitor bending machine efficiency to maximize bending machine productivity.
o) Monitor physical inventory of finished products and submit report after reconciliation.
p) Compliance to ISO QMS & EMS requirements as per standard.
q) Review safety process periodically and formulate necessary guideline to reduce safety risk and hazard at workplace pertaining to legal provision.
