Profile Description

This role is accountable for supporting Corporate Strategy and Projects by defining and tracking the business’s strategic KPIs and drive the overall business excellency initiatives across the organization.

Educational Qualification

Post-Graduation/Graduation in any Engineering discipline from any reputed public or private university.
MBA will be considered as an added advantage.
 

Experience

10-12 years of relevant functional and people management experience in similar industry.

Functional Activities

a) Initiate, facilitate and monitor the Cost saving initiatives (Lean2Lead etc.) across business/units/functions.
b) Support in consolidating Business KPIs and preparing the new/existing business plan.
c) Ensure business monitoring by regularly tracking all strategic KPIs at organization as well as Functional level.
d) Address and highlight deviations in performance indictors and develop route map to achieve the desired outcomes.
e) Quarterly presentation of Group KPI and updates on other Business Excellence initiatives undertaken.
f) Identify gaps and opportunities with an effective data collection and reporting system as well as frequent internal and external benchmarking.
g) Create a culture of driving change management across the functions/units/processes.
h) Deep dive the business processes in central functions and plan the improvement program - bring technological intervention to release time of engagement from non-value adding activities.
i) Work closely with Finance on translating project/business performance into financial performance.
j) Develop a network of contacts across Groups and BU functions to facilitate an efficient data gathering process.
k) Manage standard management information reports with relevant data to aid management decision making in the department.
 

Leadership, Talent and Culture Development

a) Attract and develop talent in the steel business.
b) Direct the process of effective department performance, overseeing performance management, recruitment, training and development of staff to ensure high level of engagement and motivated work environment. 
c) Engage and mentor direct reports to prepare them for larger and higher roles with BSRM.
d) Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.  
e) Manage counselling and grievances of reportees.
f) Manage attendance and leave of reportees.
g) Ensure appropriate allocation of workload to reportees to enable work-life balance.

Coordination

a) Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders for seamless information flow for initiating business excellence initiatives.
