Profile Description

The Business Excellence Manager plays a strategic and integrative role in advancing process excellence, long-term strategy development, business analysis, digital transformation, and cross-functional improvement initiatives across BSRM Group. The role serves as a critical link between different functions, ensuring the effective implementation of improvement projects, the adoption of new technologies, and the achievement of organizational objectives.

 

The ideal candidate will preferably have a strong engineering & manufacturing background combined with solid business acumen, possess strong analytical and digital capabilities, and demonstrate the ability to build effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.

Process Excellence & Operational Improvement

  • Lead and facilitate Process Excellence initiatives across departments to drive process optimization, standardization, and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct end-to-end process mapping, gap analysis, and root-cause analysis to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Deep dive into business processes across functions and identify opportunities for process simplification, automation, and elimination of non-value-adding activities.
  • Initiate, facilitate, and monitor cost-saving and productivity improvement initiatives across business units and functions.
  • Track implementation progress and ensure improvement benefits are measured, realized, and sustained.

Strategy Development & KPI Management

  • Support senior leadership in long-term business strategy formulation and strategic KPI development.
  • Consolidate and monitor key business KPIs at both organizational and functional levels.
  • Regularly track performance indicators, highlight deviations, and develop corrective action plans to achieve targeted outcomes.
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly presentations on Group KPIs and key Business Excellence initiatives

Business Analysis & Decision Support

  • Conduct detailed business analysis to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
  • Prepare project proposals, feasibility studies, financial impact assessments, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Develop dashboards, management reports, and analytical presentations to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Work closely with Finance to translate operational initiatives and performance improvements into measurable financial outcomes.

Digital Transformation & Automation

  • Lead digital transformation initiatives across business functions to enhance operational effectiveness and transparency.
  • Collaborate with IT and functional teams to identify automation opportunities and implement relevant digital tools and technologies.
  • Promote the adoption of data-driven decision-making practices and analytics-based insights across the organization.

Cross-functional Coordination & Change Management

  • Act as a central coordinator connecting Business Analysis, Business Excellence, and other strategic initiatives across the organization.
  • Engage with stakeholders across functions to understand operational challenges and drive collaborative solutions.
  • Develop strong cross-functional networks to enable efficient data gathering, project execution, and knowledge sharing.
  • Facilitate change management initiatives and build a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across the organization.

Benchmarking & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities through structured data collection, reporting systems, and internal/external benchmarking.
  • Track metrics related to efficiency, digital adoption, cost savings, and project progress to ensure continuous organizational improvement.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline from any reputed public or private university.
  • MBA in Finance is preferred. will be considered as an added advantage.
  • Additional certification in Business Analysis, Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management is an advantage.

Experience

  • 10 - 15 years of experience in business excellence, business analysis, process improvement, or related roles (experience in manufacturing/steel industry preferred).
