Engineer Structure and Fabrication

Profile Description

This role is accountable for day to day activities pertaining to the execution of fabrication and PEB maintenance activities at project sites as per plan and schedule.

Educational Qualification

Graduation/Post Graduation in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed public or private university.

Experience

3-5 years of working experience in related functional field preferably in project.

Functional Activities

a) Understand and drive implementation the work plan to meet fabrication and PEB maintenance breakdown target.
b) Execute assembly, installation and repair of steel structure according to specification and PEB codes.
c) Assist in Analyzing the works- Cost, schedule, BOQ, BOM, invoice certification etc.
d) Systematically diagnose the causes of problems or equipment, schedule preventive/predictive maintenance and identify overlaps & gaps.
e) Maintain Adherence to assembly safety standards.
f) Implement the PEB maintenance at site as per project requirement and submit progress report periodically.
g) Conduct fabrication process and resolve all issues for processes.
h) Check for any potential cost and time over-runs proactively and report accordingly.
i) Ensure on-time project progress Report & handover including compliance of SOP as per checklist.
j) Oversee and monitor the works of the vendors/contractors at site and prepare report accordingly.
k) Follow up with contractor representative at site for work progress, quality issues and resolve any issues related to the project as per escalation matrix.
l) Ensure availability of resources – men, material, drawings, infrastructure facilities etc. on a timely basis.
m) Keep regular measurement data of works in specified format.
n) Ensure adherence to quality standards for mechanical maintenance activities at project sites.
o) Ensure safety of internal/external workforce by using PPE and maintaining the use of PPE by all.

a) Direct the process of effective department performance, overseeing performance management, recruitment, training and development of staff to ensure high level of engagement and motivated work environment. 
b) Engage and mentor direct reports to prepare them for larger and higher roles with BSRM.
c) Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.  
d) Manage counselling and grievances of reportees.
e) Manage attendance and leave of reportees.
f) Ensure appropriate allocation of workload to reportees to enable work-life balance.

Coordination

a) Coordinate with vendors/contractors to ensure on time maintenance activities at site.
b) Coordinate with project procurement and inventory for on time equipment and material delivery and quality standard.

c) Coordinate with other departmental wings to monitor & progress report
