Profile Description

This role is responsible for ensuring a seamless hiring process, driving employer branding initiatives, adopting innovative sourcing techniques, and building strong talent pipelines to attract top-tier candidates. It also involves close collaboration with hiring managers, leveraging recruitment technologies and aligning talent acquisition efforts with organizational workforce planning and growth strategies.

Educational Qualification

Post-Graduation / Graduation in any discipline from any reputed public or private university. PGDHRM/MBA in HRM will be considered as an added advantage.

Experience

Minimum 10 years of working experience in relevant functional and people management experience, preferably in Manufacturing Industries or Group of Industries.

Functional Activities

  • Drive employer branding initiatives across offline platforms (job fairs, placement centers, campus programs) and online platforms (career portals, professional networks, and digital campaigns) to strengthen the organization’s brand and attract quality candidates.
  • Manage and utilize applicant tracking systems, HRIS, and other recruitment software.
  • Lead and manage recruitment process by sourcing candidates through diverse channels.
  • Develop and implement assessment tools through in-house resources or external partners such as competency-based interviews and case studies to evaluate candidate suitability.
  • Manage the selection process by scheduling and conducting interviews for defined roles.
  • Ensure a positive and engaging candidate experience throughout the entire recruitment process.
  • Keep track of the organizations recruitment metrics, such as time-to-hire and cost-per-hire, etc. and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reduce recruitment costs.
  • Ensuring background verification is completed in line with company policy.
  • Review and ensure job offer/appointment letters etc. to be issued and communicated to the selected candidates.
  • Oversee and ensure smooth completion of the employee onboarding process, including documentation, orientation, and integration support.
  • Conduct training sessions for hiring managers and interviewers on effective interviewing techniques.
  • Solve internal customer queries, acting as a point of escalation in specified areas, and escalate to Sub Function: CoE Talent Acquisition whenever required.
  • Forecast talent needs and build robust pipelines to support long-term organizational growth.
  • Stay up-to-date on labour legislation and inform unit/ function concerns about changes in regulations.

Leadership, Talent and Culture Development

  • Attract and develop talent in the steel business.
  • Direct the process of effective department performance, overseeing performance management, recruitment, training and development of staff to ensure high level of engagement and motivated work environment.
  • Engage and mentor direct reports to prepare them for larger and higher roles with BSRM.
  • Promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Manage counselling and grievances of reportees.
  • Manage attendance and leave of reportees
  • Ensure appropriate allocation of workload to reportees to enable work-life.

Coordination

  • Coordinate with Unit/Function heads to understand workforce needs and streamline interview and selection processes.
  • Coordinate with Learning and Development for induction program for new joiners.
  • Coordinate with external placement agencies for empanelment, communication of requirement, selection process and payment.
