Assistant Manager Civil

Profile Description

This role is accountable for driving the execution of assigned civil works of the projects under strategic projects considering safe work environment, within the assigned budget, quality standards and schedule period.

Educational Qualification

Graduation in Civil Engineering from a reputed university.

Experience

7-10 years of relevant functional and people management experience, with exposure in civil project.

Functional Activities

a) Drive the implementation of the project activities assigned by the Sub Function - Civil.
b) Assist in preparing the detailed project plan for civil works and prepare the proposal for resource requirements.
c) Ensure completion of work scope milestones on time and within cost and report the progress periodically.
d) Assign the works planned to the support engineers and Follow-up to monitor the civil works assigned for the project.
e) Ensure that all civil works are as per defined quality control.
f) Manage the material reconciliation of all engineering items.
g) Conduct the timely assessment and provide material requirement by ensuring PR/MO on time.
h) Compute load and grade requirement and materials to design facility specification.
i) Prepare BOQ and arrange to forward all the material requisition on time for procurement.
j) Monitor and highlight any potential cost and time over-runs proactively.
k) Check and review the invoices of vendors/contractors for further approval as per the SOP format and ensure timely payment.
l) Prepare and upkeep all the civil related documents of the project such as – drawings, P.O etc.
m) Identify the need of additional works, prepare BOQ and submit budget.
n) Keep records of any design and layout change and incorporate in as-built drawings.
o) Consolidate the daily site reports, inspection requests, estimates and all applicable monitoring reports.
p) Monitor and ensure adherence of safety guidelines and procedures at workplace.
